# About stEVER

Liquid staking is a new method of income accrual for EVER token holders. With it, you no longer have to lock tokens for a specific period of time in order to receive rewards. By participating in liquid staking, you can do both at once by staking EVER and receiving stEVER (staked EVER) tokens in return.

### Let’s see how it works

stEVER is a TIP 3.1 token with the same characteristics as other tokens launched on Everscale. They are issued and deposited on your wallet balance the moment you stake your EVER in the system. The number of stEVER received in return is determined by the current exchange rate (see how it is calculated below). In turn, the amount of EVER you will receive by when you unstake changes in line with the accruals of EVER awards. The validators of stEVER work in the same way as other Everscale validators, except that their depools only receive stakes from the balancer.

### Let's learn about depools&#x20;

A depool is a smart contract that can combine stakes from different users into investment pools. Since the amount of a stake could be too big for an ordinary user, and the number of validators is limited, depool smart contracts come to the rescue. They allow any participant with a small number of EVERs to participate in validation and receive a share of the reward. With the help of a depool smart contract, users invest their EVERs in a common pool, for which they receive a reward depending on the amount deposited.

Essentially, depools allow users to receive remuneration without having to be a validator.

### The Balancer mechanism

When users stake with depools, they try to get the most out of a pool’s APR. However, the APR changes depending on the amount of liquidity and the number of users staking. The rates fluctuate daily, and depending on how long you lock your tokens in for, you could end up getting much less back than you initially imagined.

The launch of stEVER tokens drastically reduces this risk with the help of a balancer mechanism. It is designed to keep the APR as high as possible. Currently, it is close to the basic profitability of the network. To do so, the balancer manages the stakes distribution between depool contracts. It ensures that the rounds are not overloaded and that pools work at peak efficiency.

# About Everscale

Everscale is the most scalable blockchain network in existence. The network’s incomparable scalability is due to its dynamic sharding mechanism which enables it to process millions of transactions per second and charge infinitesimal transaction fees.

The result is a new and unique blockchain design that proposes a scalable decentralized world computer, paired with a distributed operating system. Everscale is based on a platform called Ever OS, capable of processing millions of transactions per second, with Turing-complete smart contracts and decentralized user interfaces.

Everscale presents some new and unique properties, such as dynamic multithreading, soft majority consensus and distributed programming, which enable it to be scalable, fast and secure at the same time. It is governed by a decentralized community founded upon meritocratic principles via the Soft Majority Voting protocol.

Everscale has powerful developer tools, such as compilers for Solidity and C++, SDK and API, client libraries ported to more than 20 languages and platforms, a range of decentralized browsers and wallets empowering many applications in DeFi, NFT, tokenization and governance domains.


# How to start

To participate in stEVER staking, you need an EVER Wallet, which you will use to interact with the platform.

1. To get started, [download the EVER Wallet ](https://everwallet.net/)as a browser extension or mobile application for Android/IOS.
2. [Follow the instructions](https://docs.everwallet.net/getting-started/install-and-singing-in/creating-a-new-wallet) in the official EVER Wallet documentation to create a new wallet account.
3. Once you have created a new wallet, return to [**https://stakedever.io/**](https://stakedever.io/) and click the `Connect`button in the top right corner of the page to link your wallet to the platform.

To receive stEVER, you need to have EVER tokens, which will be used as your stake. There are different ways to obtain EVER, which we will discuss below:

* You can purchase EVER on exchanges where it is available and then withdraw them to your EVER Wallet address:

  When choosing a token and amount to transfer you can convert a part of the sent tokens into EVER to pay for your transfer commission and subsequent wallet deployment.

# How to stake/unstake

Let's remind ourselves how stEVER works. You exchange your EVER tokens for stEVER tokens, which constantly increase in value, providing you with profit.

To start staking, you need to exchange EVER for stEVER, and vice versa for unstaking. All of this can be done on our platform in just a few clicks.

## Stake

1. Connect your Ever Wallet to the platform if you haven't done so already.
2. Go to the `Stake` section.
3. Choose the amount of EVER you want to stake and familiarize yourself with the amount of stEVER you will receive in return.
4. Click on `Stake EVER` and confirm the transaction in the opened EVER Wallet window.

After the transaction is completed, you will see the received stEVER in your wallet ([don't forget to add](https://docs.everwallet.net/manage-assets/how-to-add-tokens-to-your-wallet) stEVER to the list of displayed tokens in your EVER Wallet).

### Unstake

1. Connect your Ever Wallet to the platform if you haven't done so already
2. Go to the `Stake` section
3. Choose `Unstake` and then choose the amount of stEVER you want to spend and familiarize yourself with the amount of EVER you will receive in return
4. Click on `Unstake EVER` and confirm the transaction in the opened EVER Wallet window.

After you unstake your tokens, they will be returned to your wallet at the end of the round in which your stake participated. You can track the status of your unstaking process in the `Stake` section of your wallet interface. Typically, this process takes up to **36 hours**, but it can be faster, especially for small stakes which can be executed immediately.&#x20;

# Dashboard overview

## **Dashboard**

The dashboard is a section that provides crucial and up-to-date information about stEVER, including statistics such as Total Value Locked (TVL), price, Annual Percentage Yield (APY), and more. Additionally, it features a list of depools, transactions, and withdrawals.

Let's explore this section and delve into each block in detail:

### **General information**

This block contains the main statistics of stEVER. Here you can find:

* **TVL** - the current amount of EVER tokens used as a stake in exchange for stEVER and their dollar equivalent
* **Current price** - the current price of stEVER in EVER tokens and its dollar equivalent
* **APY** - the current yield from staking EVER, i.e., the annual percentage growth rate of the stEVER price
* **Holders** - the current number of stEVER stakeholders

The right part of this block contains a TVL chart, which allows you to track the dynamics.

### Participating Depools

The Participating Depools section displays a table with the following information:

* **Strategy**: The strategy address. The strategy is a wrapper over the depool that simplifies the user interface and eliminates the complexity of working with depools.
* **Validator fee**: Each validator sets their own fee for their work. The higher the fee, the more the validator earns, and the less the depool participants earn.
* **Depool Owner**: The address of the depool owner.
* **Distribution Priority**: Stakes are distributed according to fee level and amount of EVER. If a lot of tokens are unstaked, low priority validators may not receive tokens.
* **TVL, EVER**: The amount of EVER staked in this depool.

It's important to note that users cannot choose their depool as the rates fluctuate daily based on the amount of liquidity and the number of users staking. This can result in users getting much less back than they initially anticipated. However, the stEVER token launch reduces this risk by implementing a balancer mechanism that keeps the APR as high as possible. The balancer manages stake distribution between depool contracts and ensures that the rounds are not overloaded, thus maintaining peak efficiency.

When you navigate to the page of any strategy, you will see the following information:

### **Strategy page**

The page is divided into several blocks, each containing different information about the strategy.

1. At the top of the page, there is a link to the **strategy page** and to the **owner page** on **EVER Scan**, as well as an indicator of the strategy's effectiveness.
2. The effectiveness of the strategy depends on the Total Value Locked (TVL) and validator commissions, which determine the priority of token distribution. The lower the TVL and commissions, the higher the priority of receiving tokens, and vice versa. This system ensures that stakers with lower commissions and TVL will receive tokens first, reducing the risk of losing tokens when withdrawing them.
3. Below is a chart displaying information about the TVL and depool commissions associated with this strategy.
4. The page also displays the balance of rounds for this depool and a list of transactions.

### **Transactions**

Below is a block with a list of transactions related to this depool. The following information is displayed:

* Initiator account address
* Blockchain transaction ID
* Transaction type: deposit/withdrawal
* EVER amount
* Transaction date and time

Note that you can use a filter for transaction types and switch to the strategy display mode.

### **Pending withdrawals**

This block displays information about the withdrawals (unstakes) that have not yet been completed. It shows the initiating user's ID, the EVER amount currently being unlocked, and the transaction start date.
